The lecture will be held in the Thomas & Mack Moot Court Facility at the UNLV Boyd School of Law.

The panel will begin by discussing the diversity of the legal profession in Nevada today using various statistical and demographic data, followed by a broader discussion, including: 1) how a more diverse and more representative legal profession promotes access to justice, and how members of the legal community can help change the current state of affairs and promote equal protection under the law for all; 2) "The Business Case for Diversity" including the value of inclusiveness in legal practice; 3) "Best Practices for Hiring and Retaining Diverse Attorneys" including an overview of the programs implemented at MGM that have worked and failed and the lessons learned; and 4) the importance of diversity to in-house counsel as a client is selecting outside counsel.
